Sustainable Development Goals

Our sustainability strategy guides not only our product development teams to develop more sustainable product options. At PF Concept all our departments are involved in making our company more sustainable. This is a journey that we want to travel with all our stakeholders. Taking the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a guideline, we have developed our sustainability framework to work towards achieving our vision of a more sustainable promotional market.

The website of the United Nations describes the SDG’s as follows: "The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. Learn more and take action."

We have focussed on 4 of the 17 development goals for our sustainability framework. Not because we do not regard the other 13 as less important, but we have identified these 4 as being the most relevant for our company and fitting the scope of our ambitions.

We are committed to developing safe, compliant, and more sustainable product options and branding techniques in all our product categories. Using (certified) organic and recycled materials and branding techniques are the top priority for our product development teams and production facilities. Our objective is to have sustainable materials in 100% of our new products in 2025.

We are committed to building a more transparent supply chain and supporting our vendors to develop sustainable labour conditions. As a member of Amfori we use the BSCI auditing process to identify issues and develop corrective action plans. With our own Polyconcept teams located in China, Bangladesh, India, and Ethiopia, we have a local presence to support our vendors.

We are committed to significantly reduce the use of virgin plastics in our products by using recycled materials. Whether in our PFUK production facilities or at our vendors we focus on developing products using (certified) recycled plastics. We have entered in a partnership with Prevented Ocean Plastic for our H2O active bottles made in the UK.

Measuring the CO2 footprint of our European facilities and of our products will help us offset the negative impact and improve our performance. We have partnered with Nature Office to start measuring and off setting our CO2 emissions in 2021.
