Responsible supply chain

Our supply chain represents a significant portion of our overall social and environmental impact. Therefore, we are continuously working to make our supply chain part of the sustainable transition by engaging with our key suppliers and making efforts to gain insights in the different tiers of our supply chain beyond our tier 1 and 2.

Third Party Audits

Our supply chain plays a key role in our social and environmental impact, and we prioritise transparency and ethical practices through on-site audits by recognised third parties, such as Amfori BSCI. These audits ensure that our suppliers meet high standards for labour conditions, environmental responsibility, and ethics. By 2025, we aim to have 100% of our top 100 suppliers (representing 90% of our buying volume) covered by third-party audit reports such as BSCI, SMETA, SA8000, or WRAP, reinforcing our commitment to responsible sourcing and supplier accountability.

Internal controls and Corrective Action Plans

Since 2022, we’ve used a centralised tracking system to monitor supplier audits, scores, certifications (e.g., ISO14001, ISO9001), and corrective action plans. Our Polyconcept GBS teams conduct on-site reviews to ensure compliance, allowing us to rank suppliers based on their environmental, social, and ethical performance. This system helps us prioritise higher-performing suppliers and maintain strict standards across our supply chain.

Supplier engagement

To enhance traceability and compliance from the start of supplier relationships, we implemented an updated supplier opening committee process in 2022. Before onboarding new suppliers, our GBS team conducts on-site visits and reports, or relies on third-party audits if needed, to assess risks related to compliance and sustainability. In 2023, we strengthened this process by introducing a Sustainability Scorecard rating system, using a questionnaire to evaluate suppliers more rigorously.
